7.00pm - Much flatter today but no less exhausting for the team.


8.50am - Really tough day for the team yesterday. Less bumpy today. The team finished in the dark last night after many hours in the saddle. If you bear in mind that this is day 3 of a 63 day challenge you realise the extreme lengths these guys are going to for Cure Leukaemia.

9.42am - Why are Geoff, Hayden, Doug, Marcus and James putting themselves through this gruelling and superhuman physical challenge? They are doing this to help Cure Leukaemia raise £1m to expand the globally significant Centre for Clinical Haematology. This video below explains the importance of this transformational facility.

8.30am - And so it begins. Geoff, Doug, Marcus, Hayden and James set off for the first stage of the Giro D'Italia, one day ahead of the professionals, all to raise funds for Cure Leukaemia. The first kilometre of a journey that will total 10,403km over 63 days.
